Holiday Open House - "Gifts from the Farm"

"Gifts from the Farm", a Holiday Open House is this weekend at the Meetinghouse.  The Meetinghouse will be filled with craft, refreshment and plenty of holiday spirit.  This little trio of wool felt snowmen are just a sample of the crafts for sale.  The open house is Saturday, December 1 from 10 to 4.

PBS's "America's Heartland" at Sweet Home Spun

Reporter, Sarah Gardner and camera guy, Jeff Cooper from America's Heartland spent the day filming at Sweet Home Farm on Wednesday.  Luna (the sheep) tried to steal the show.  Shepherds Sam and Samuel did and great job showing off the farm and flock and JoAnn gave Sarah a spinning lesson.  The Sweet Home Spun Knitters and Spinners shared their talents and, of course, provided a tasty breakfast and lunch.

True Dutch!

Yesterday was a real "Dutch Treat"!  A tour group from Holland stopped to see the Low Dutch Meetinghouse.  The visitors seemed to feel the connection to Kentucky.  When told many Dutch settlers moved west,  one replied "Why would they want to leave this place?"
